With support from the Gilson Family Foundation we were able to send all of our school year families off on vacation with a bag of groceries to help tie them over for a week away. Mac and cheese, ramen, cereal, boxed milk and snacks. Shelf stable items that don't require much prep and make kids happy. Last week we welcomed Children's Friend and Family Services to our parent meeting. Since we are seeing changes in children's behavior as families navigate difficult times, they came to share gentle solutions to having tough conversations with children. They even did a hands on activity that everyone enjoyed. We are so grateful for the families who attended and are thankful to those who felt safe enough to share personal experiences.
