LEO Inc. is looking for school year Lead Preschool Teacher. Successful candidates are team players who have a natural love of children, and who have the following qualifications:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for planning, implementation, and administration of a Head Start classroom, including daily operation, supervision of staff and volunteers, and adherence to the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) regulations, the Head Start Performance Standards as well as the Head Start Act (OHS) regulations

Requirements:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is required; A Bachelor’s Degree in ECE is preferred.
  • EEC Lead Teacher qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, and EEC regulations preferred.
  • Must pass a Background Record Check and supply health and immunization records.
  • Bilingual applicants preferred.

For Seasonal Staff :
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:30am-1:30pm(30 hrs/week). The school year runs from September through May, teachers are laid-off. During the summer months seasonal teachers collect unemployment, then are recalled the following September. However, you must be available for work during the summer months.

Compensation: $15.50 to $20.00/hr depending upon educational degree.
